Not to fire you up, but does anyone care about the rating? i never really noticed it until now. How does it affect the thread?

It's just a method some people use to take pot shots at threads rather than responding and contributing. They think it proves something to hide behind anonymous ratings. What it proves is what cowards some people are.

BTW, I realize there are more than just Thom.

WHen I see a thread rated one star, unless it's really bad, I'll hit it with a 5 star rating just to average things out nicely.

I've also never noticed the stars, but then I've only been on here every day since May of 2001. (OK, I missed a day once while traveling).

A wise person knows how to pick their battles, you've chosen to make this your Waterloo? As for "not contributing", he is one of my favorite if not outright favorite posters. I've coughed-up a lung or two reading that knucklehead.

I've taken over 100 samples of who was on OT when a thread was rated one star. Some names just came to the top of the list over time...

I log on and stay logged on days at a time. Browser stays open even when I'm away from the computer.

although i agree it doesn't proove a thing


leaving your browser open won't keep your session active on the system... it does not auto refresh and it will time out on Waynes server

you have to load pages to show up as "online"

And so does Lendaddy, apparently. I also developed some filters to weed out instances like this.

Dude, I enjoy reading your posts, but if you had the time to

a. watch for times when a thread was "rated"
b. browse through the list of users "browsing" during that time
c. somehow come to the conclusion that this "Thom" guy was rating posts with "one star"

over 100 times?

You need to step away from the computer and do something else for a while. I'm sorry if you don't like him or whatever.
