Here's an idea. Keep your cat inside. Neighbor will then have nothing to say to you. Problem solved! Pretty simple resolution, I must say... Last edited by Danny_Ocean; 06-28-2007 at 02:49 PM.. |

I look forward to the day a neighbor comes over and punches me out. I'm contemplating early retirement, and the resultant judgment/settlement will allow me to do just that! Heck, I might even get to retire in the neighbors home... |

"Think of the birds"... my God, what are we going to worry about next? Its forking nature, let the critters do what they do naturally and move on.

No birds, no problem? Less poop on your paintjob, yes? No birds = more bugs (read: mosquitos). More mosquitos? More disease. |

Some good points brought up here. I like the idea of helping spread some deterent (at your expense over at the neighbor's house). The chip seems like a good idea, too. But, if this dickweed neighbor confided that he took a cat and dropped it off, then you guys have the upper hand here. That is a punishable crime and the animal control folks have no choice but to investigate should you happen to report this. I'm sure I could find a way to hint to the neighbor that I would go to these lengths and even testify against him without being confrontational.
The best way is the friendly way. It's hard to start a fight with someone that is laughing and happy. Oh, and the best idea was the one about keeping the cat contained but not telling the neighbor. If he came over complaining about your cat and you had documentation that is was not roaming at that time, you'll bust his balls. Now, for those that suggest doing any harm to any animals, I can only say that I'd like to be able to notify neighbors of such individuals so that if and when something happened to an animal, these people would be at the top of the list of suspects. More than one has done time in jail here in Long Beach for such acts. One ******* dropped a concrete fence block on a tiny dog. The courts fried his ass. |

Indoor cats are brainwashed and limp. Do your cat a favor and take him outside once in a while so he's not couped up inside all day. Cats , like dogs, want to be outside in the natural habitat, to run around the yard, chase birds, etc... Last edited by on-ramp; 06-28-2007 at 06:21 PM.. |

Thanks to all that responded, I will take everyone for consideration. But, this thread has been strung out way too long and lost it's usefulness to me. I will eventually settle things with my neighbor. This is my last response for this thread.

How relevant is this in the overall scope of things? You have a difference of opinion with a neighbor. Be a gentleman, react in a civilized manner and the question can be amicably resolved. Losing sleep or creating a bad relationship over a cat seems somewhat out of proportion to the problem.

Sorry I couldn't help it.... My buddy has a fenced in back yard, and there is a 2 ft net that prohibits them from jumping it and escaping,, Hence outdoor cats, but they can't leave the yard..
