It does disgust me however you have to remember most of those people were living off of handouts before Katrina. Why should you expect them to act any different now? What's more frustrating is they are the minority of people (no pun intended) however the media makes it out to be the majority of Katrina victims, when they are not. The majority of people are working responsible people that were screwed by their insurance company and were bamboozled by their Federal and State Gov. While local Gov. obviously shares blame too, the local Gov has little to do with levee projects and funding. That's primarily handled at the Fed and State levels.

What's also sad is we, as American's, paid for the levees, paid for the handouts, will pay for new levees, pay for more handouts, and enjoy higher insurance rates for the rest of our lives. Total failure on so many levels, it's sickening.
