Evasive or unclear thread titles. A rant.

What's up with that? It seems that certain members consistently start threads with nonsense like:

How about this?
Remember how wonderful
What is the best...?
A cool item.
Disappointed.

and the list goes on. You know who you are. Why not just indicate what the heck your topic is about? If it's about a gun, say so. If it's about a woman, say so. If it's about an antique, say so. That way, fellow Pelicans perusing the bbs don't have to click randomly to see if the thread is of any interest at all.

I admit, it's a nit, or a pik, but it's annoying none-the-less.

Stepping off of soap-box now.

It's like a gift. You might be able to shake it, and guess at what's inside, but you don't really know until you open it. Better now?

I 'specially like the ones that say "Check out this cool video" and you don't know whether it's going to be about cars or bouncing boobs or flaming plane crashes or terrorists blowing themselves up.

It's always great at work when you open one up and one of the girls here walks up right as some bodacious, scantily-clad hooter-honey pops up on my screen. I really appreciate that.

I did not actually read this thread.

I could tell right away from the title that I did not agree with the position being taken so why bother.

On any other board I would agree, but this is off topic and less is better when it comes to rules and formalities... IMHO.
