GREAT PIC!!!
My best day? Had alot of them, I'm a very very fortunate person. But this one does stick out because even now it seems unreal. When I was working for the STate of Oregon (I know work for a gov't contractor) I spent a signficant portion of my time inspecting commercial trucks. I became fascinated with the hazardous materials regulations. A rather challenging field... Turns out I was a very good truck inspector, especially regarding hazardous materials. I won the state championship twice, 1998 and again in 2002. If you win State, you go onto the North American Championships (US, Canada, Mexico, assorted US territories). In 2002, I won the overall North American Hazardous Materials Inspection championship at the NAIC competition. First thing I did was call my Daddy...was so "wrapped around the axle" that I couldn't even dial the phone - someone else had to dial. ![]() angela

Mine is really two rolled into one. The first part was winning my first golf tournament. However it took some validation two months later to fully enjoy it. During the back nine on that winning day, the maintenance crew mowed my ball on the 14th hole, and I hit a house and ricocheted back in bounds on 17. So in firing a 79, my win had a degree of luck. However, that win got me into a tournament of champions that was played on the course where they play the Byron Nelson. I was paired with 2 of the bad asses on the tour. Needless to say with my nerves shot, I chopped it big time on the front 9. 45, 10 over par. On 10, my dad showed up. (he never had watched any of my tournament play prior to that) I quickly got under par on the back, at one point -3, 7 over for the day. Anyway I made two bogeys coming in and shot 45-34. Handed my card to the SMU golf coach (tourney director) he gave me praise, started talking scholarships in the future, blah blah blah. It was really special to perform well in the presence of my father. I wound up 6 back of the two guys I played with. Caught a plane that night, and spent a week in Austin playing golf w/ my uncle. I was 14.

October 17, 1994. The day After I got married. The new wife and I had the hotel room (Presidential suite at Loews Coronado Bay Resort) all to ourselves. Champagne, incredible food, music, a private deck over the bay, all the other newlywed activities, it was 24 hours I will always remember. Second place tie for the birth of my son and then 2 years later my daughter. Too many 3rd places to post but sitting in my driveway with a glass of Champagne eyeballing my new (used) '86 Carrera was really cool!

Leaving Corporate America! I've been completely self employed since August of last year. I'm poor but happy. The Porsche hasn't left the garage for two years and is still in semi-kit form but my day will come when I return to the track. I just need a few more customers.

Was fairly recent, and I owe it all to PPOT! The day I slapped my first cratch.
