I'll be watching for videos on the news ! You know, when you mention that it's a gated community, and other's mention how "large" trees can be replaced, then you're probably doing the "best" thing. My response was thinking along the lines of a neighbor cutting large "old growth" trees (that I'm used to) that are older than dirt. Those are irreplacable (I've lost a few), and I'd be furious if a neighbor like you describe cut one of mine. On the other hand, if they are replacable, CYA and don't sweat the small stuff...good luck!

I shutter to think of how inappropriately I would respond to people like that. My friends joke about my love for trees and vegetation.
