That could be a factor. There is definitely a better understanding of weight training and conditioning now. And most importantly, less racial discrimination at the college level.

FOXSports' Howie Long was asked if the Patriots were running up the score on the Redskins. Long's argument was that the Redskins shouldn't have been running their mouths about how New England had never seen defensive backs like theirs and that they wouldn't get blown out like the other teams. Keep your mouth shut and maybe the Patriots would respect the Redskins a little more.

Interesting dynamic. I was on a team in HS that beat another team 52-0. I was the starting QB and was pulled at the half. But I was also the 2nd squad tight end. I caught two TD's in the 2nd half.

It is what it is. You must play hard to avoid injury, period.

I will also say that later in my HS career we were thumped 28-0 in the state semi's by a team that started taking a more or less knee half-way through the 4th quarter.

I'd have preferred they ran their full offense since I played defense as well. It was embarrassing. Let's play, at least I can try and make a difference.

Play the game. If you're going to get your clock cleaned, then suck it up and take it. If you think they're running up the score, then stop it. I never want the other team to "take it easy" on me. Screw that. But I do hate the showboating...to me that is bush. Score the touchdown or hit a home run...fine. But to do a dance afterwards? Talk about ghey.

I just hope that this whole thing doesn't end up keeping the Patriots from realizing their ultimate goal this season, which is winning the Superbowl. To have Brady and your other starters in the game when you are up 42-0 in the 4th quarter is insanity.

One of these games one of those big defensive linemen is going to get mad and drive Brady into the turf. In fact there was a discussion on ESPN radio this morning about whether a defensive player would just take the 15 yard penalty and hit Brady late if they keep this up. Separate Brady's shoulder or break his clavicle and where are the Pats? I'm not saying I would want this to happen, but it is the risk you take when you leave your starters in there in a blowout game with a frustrated and pissed off defense.

It wasn't all that long ago (for some of us) when the '84 Chicago Bears were doing the same thing and I never cried that they should have shown mercy in Superbowl XX when they pounded the Patriots 46-10. That's the nature of competition. They should have been better if they didn't want to get beaten so handily.

How would you react if people - in this case pansy ass writers sitting in their comfy studios and many NFL players and coaches who should have known better (and may have "cheated" in their own way ) tried to take away your most hard earned accomplishments .

I think that Belichick has invested in the mindeset now, his players are on board and they are a cohesive unit. He will not change, they will drill team after team into the ground.
