My Evening with Kari Byron and Tori Bellechi
I went to an event ISU this evening to see Kari Byron and Tori Bellechi from Mythbusters. Good times.
Some things I learned: -Kari just got married. ![]() -Kari was asked out by Adam early in the run of the show. She thought she was being invited to a happy hour and showed up with her boyfriend. -Tori gets hurt a lot. Kari laughs. -Everyone is exactly like they are on the show. -M5 is pretty much 100% devoted to Mythbusters production right now. -The Discovery Channel wanted Grant to get a makeover like Brad Pitt. Some un-aired myths: -Do women fart? -Can you grow a squash (think giant pumpkin) under a car and lift it up?

Fun show, they all seem to work off one another well, sort of like how the gang at Top Gear does, in this case with nerds. Yes, Kari is hot and makes the show much more fun to watch.

How funny!
Jamie and Adam were here (Purdue University) last weekend. It was a pretty cool moderated discussion with a Q&A session at the end. They really are a couple of great guys. They showed some footage from an episode on "igniting flatulence" that Discovery wouldn't let them air. Funny stuff! -Nick

I wonder what the Mythbusters get paid. Seems like the show has been extremely successful.

Some other interesting bits:
A very drunk Johny Knoxville (think Jackass) once called Kari at M5. Adam has twins. Kari describes them as clones of Adam. Tori worked with Adam on models for Star Wars Episode II. He used to walk around the model shop and act like a camera crew was following him. He acts the exact same way now--but he really has a camera crew following him. Jamie is there when Tori and Kari come in in the morning, and he is there when they leave. They often see his car at M5 at odd hours on the weekends too...

Here's the women/farting segment - it's a video of a video but still funny!
