The clubs I checked were all out of stock for quite a while.

Predictably, the buy-it-now setups that were $419+ the other day are now up to $750+. The auction route will likely be the least expensive. I'd wait till after midnight when less people are competing for the same unit.

Nuff said...

IF at all possible and IF you must have one I would wait until after Christmas.

Check out Craigs list. I purchased a brand new wii+sports for $300 a couple weeks ago. Local pickup cash deal. No shopping stress or queues to wait in.

I got up at 4:15 this morning to go to Meijer because they had Wiis for $50 off--$200 + tax out the door.

The line was 300 people long.

I left and went to EB Games (they didn't run any Black Friday ads locally). As I walked up to the storefront at 5:00 a.m., three people got out of their cars and formed a line in front of me before I got to the door. It was dark and 27º out--the store doesn't open until 7:00. I called my wife and had her bring me a sweater and long-sleeve T-shirt, a snow hat, and Starbuck's.

The manager showed up at 6:00 and confirmed that they had 21 Wiis in stock (they told me 12 on Wednesday--so that was good). The line was well-behaved and we let everyone know after 21 that all the Wiis were spoken for, but they were welcome to keep us company. One guy got his brother to bring Krispy Kremes for everyone in line.

At 6:55, the manager came out and handed out 21 vouchers to the first 21 people in line. He informed us that no Wiis could be purchased without a voucher, and not to feel rushed and to buy some games with your Wii.

At 8:50 I got a call from a friend who works at Circuit City that he had set aside a Wii for me. (I didn't know he was going to do this.) I told that I had already gotten one but thanked him for the help.

Bought ours last Febuary for $250, Xmas time found none to be had...

My advice, get the second controller. The head to head action is a hoot.
