Finally! ......Got our first real snow of the season!

The reports were calling for 1"-2" of snow....we got closer to 4". Had a blast driving the rear wheel drive BMW to work this morning! Might just have to get out the snowmobile tonight. Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow!! I am keeping my fingers crossed that we have lots more snow this year than in recent years.

A pic of the new fluffy stuff on one of the rural roads I traveled this am.

This is from Centerville, Ohio.
Yuck!... I hate snow snow because most people don't know how to drive in it... which cause accidents which I get stuck in. I'm movin to Cali!

Man, those pics look like heaven to me. Get out there and enjoy it! My drive to work this am was great fun at 45 or so mph until I hit civilization where the nimrods were driving 30 on plowed and salted "wet" pavement. It is all good though, as folks will become accustomed to it eventually as winter progresses and the speeds will come up to closer to normal levels.

D@mn, I wish "snow days" weren't just for school kids.....the first snow always makes me feel like staying home!

Screw the snow. Why oh why did I leave Tampa??? I ask myself that every time it gets cold. I guess spending the first 28 years of my life in FLA has spoiled me. We had two seasons there: summer and not so summer!

Eh. They told us 1-3 inches. We got a half inch.

I got up at 5:00, and decided it wasn't even worth it to sweep the driveway...

Syracuse gets more snow than any other American City. But the town of Oswego to the north gets twice as much due to "lake effect".

We got barely a dusting and they're already cancelling school, Beltway tied up for hours. I can't wait to leave this place.

1-2" predicted here and I got 6".

My three year old son is ECSTATIC! Me? Not so much.

However I'll still take the cold and snow of the Midwest to the fires, earthquakes, and poisonous spiders, insects, snakes of the West thankyouverymuch.

You folks are slipping. It took a whole 3 post before a: what is snow/I love my warm weather/I'll never move back post. Soon the degenerate into why I love/hate the region where I live/moved. (It's snowing here and I love it! Just in time for my daughters ski trips)

The ONLY thing good about Winter here is it's PRIME garage car working time!!!! You see when we work on our cars.. we don't miss good driving weather like the guys in the warmer climates do when they take the car off the roads to do mods/tinkering.. I guess there is a good side to Winter after all.. yeah right hahahha

I disagree. Everything is cold: the concrete floor, the tools, the air...

I put my car away and forget about it until it warms up. I usually spend a month in April/May/June working on that first project.
