In the mtns between LA and Bakersfield and no rain/snow yet but lots of wind. Got the firewood and groceries all set, we'll see if this "Accu-Hunch" weather report pans out...

So we'll see. I don't know if you guys remember when Venice pier got banged up (or was that in PB...anyone seen my memory around? hahha).

Jeff,

That's a nifty map you have there, did you get it at the website on the top right of the chart? Thank you.

Yea, here it is:

http://aviationweather.gov/

These are the real aviation-quality reports and charts that pilots use. This is "real" weather stuff, not the six-o-clock "wacky weather guy's" interpretation.

No rain here at all yet, I bet we don't get more than 1 1/2 inches over three days. Big deal.
Of course the media vultures are already staked out in malibu and silverado canyon, just hoping and praying for mudslides and land slides and tragedy so they can get the story. freaking parasites.

raining now on the west side. That sat photo looks nasty though...very defined comma. We're gonna get wet unless it stalls or swings east before it drops down.

Glad I got my renters insurance last week...

Left the Porsche at home and took the SUV today. It's best if the San Fernando Valley turns into a giant lake...which it may...

The real big stuff is supposed to come tonight.

P-O-P,

Thanks Amigo! Really appreciate that. I'm hoping to use that site to do some 'forecasting' of my own.

Thanks again. Have a good weekend.

So far it's just another on/off light drizzle. Supposed to be heavy rain through Sunday. We'll see.

I can see how that would potentially ruin the day, Scott..

Over here, I have been putting so much wood in the stow (no not sexually) that I at one time thought I was going to burn down the whole house - and I still can´t make it warm in here.
