THERE IS NO GRAVITY!

WE SAY PUT BECAUSE THE EARTH SUCKS!

Brady is a great QB, Pats are a great team... but yesterday the Chargers lost the game the pats didn't win. No disrespect to either team... Chargers had a lot going against them and they played good with what they had but too many FG's that should have been TD's.

JCF 01-21-2008 12:26 PM

And the Pats had nothing to do with forcing them to settle for field goals..... ?

A 9 + MINUTE DRIVE to end the game ??????!!!!!!!!!!

What color is the sky in that world of yours that has no gravity ?

JCF 01-21-2008 12:29 PM

dd74 - don't welch on those boobies !

Of course the Pats D had a lot to do with making them settleing for FGs... Although if Brady hadn't throw three interception some of those FGs would have never happened.

Yes, there were two teams out there.
And the team that played better won, as most usually is the case.
Chargers are a very good team , deserved to be there - but not the better team - certainly not yesterday.
Chargers did lose the game ; not because LT was out or Rivers was hurt or because they didn't deserve to win , or because of the weather , or their Chakra was off - Nope, they lost because the Patriots WON IT !
Touchdowns instead of field goals. Better defense. Better game plan. Better half- time corrections. Ball control in the crucial 4th quarter( Brady was 7/7 for 63 yards in that one).
Remember the Dallas game ? Same.
Remember the Indy game ? Ditto.
First meeting with the Giants ? Uh huh.
Jacksonville ? See above.

We call it Patriots Football.
Bend but don't break.
If you were paying attention you would have seen it for the last 7 years - and longer if you have been watching Belichick's career.

I think I broke one.

JCF 01-21-2008 03:01 PM

That's why I prefer real ones.

Jim Garfield 01-21-2008 03:54 PM

Yeah, the Patriots had a bad game...... and they only won by two scores.:rolleyes::rolleyes:

Does anyone have any doubt that if it mattered the Pats couldn't have scored another TD at the end if they weren't just running the clock?

Every team that they played since mid season has been preparing for the Pats as if it was their Super Bowl. Week in and week out the Pats find a way to win. If anyone thinks this season isn't impressive - show me a precedent that is better.

artplumber 02-03-2008 07:37 PM

Maybe their timing got messed up with two weeks to prepare?:D

The key is that the Patriots are a TEAM. Brady's performance yesterday was blah at best. They still won. It's because they don't over-rely on any one (or two, or three) individuals. If one person (or a few) is out due to injuries, coverage, a bad day, whatever, there are many other layers of redundancy built-in.

Brady? Mediocre yesterday. Moss? Pretty much a non-factor. Welker? Good, but fairly contained for most of the game. They still won.

On the other side consider the Chargers - without L.T., they're done. They do have other good players, but nothing the defense can't contain easily enough, as was demonstrated.

Lesson: Build a TEAM of good players, not a collection of one or two superstars and a bunch of "other", mediocre guys.

And today they lost as a team. Their defense got handled. Their offense got handled. Brady got his ass kicked. The antichrist got out coached & good triumphs over evil. This morning I watched the '89 49ers beat Denver 55-10. To all you folks that thought this team was in that league, oops, up side your head, I said oops up side your head!

Joe Montana, SITLL, the greatest of all time!

legion 02-03-2008 07:48 PM

Or maybe the Giants changed their signals each half...

...and you are still a complete Jackazz.
You must have been watching a different game than the rest yesterday.
To me it looked like both teams were evenly matched.
Last possession won. Took some amazing plays to do it.
Don't diminish what The Giants accomplished with your prejudice.

Great game.

Great game.

19 knockdowns is getting your ass whipped. Too bad you can't ask Tom. I'm sure he would agree. Maroney, shut down!. Moss gets a break when Cory Webster slips. The only guy that really had a good game was Welker. A good old fashioned ass whippin'!

And it was the same going the other way.
Both Giants backs were ineffective.
Manning was sacked as much as Brady.
DB slip on the Giants winning score ...

What game were you watching ?
What world are you living in ?

Again - your stupid comments only diminish the way the Giants played.
They went toe to toe against a great team and won.
Ask them if they thought it was easy.

In Mule's strange little world...it really doesn't make much difference what actually happened. ;)

Evidently.

Great game as far as I am concerned, and I was really happy to see my deceased grandfather's beloved Giants win the Super Bowl against a juggernaut of a team - imo, one of the best ever (and I'm a Dolphins fan, so by default a Pats hater [in a sporting sense only]). It really could have gone either way last night, but I have to give the Giants team credit for playing a very good game against a very, very dangerous Pats team that's never out of it until the last second ticks off the clock.

Brady was certainly on his back more than he's used to, for sure. I'm not used to seeing that, I've got to admit.

Again, excellent game! :)

When it starts to hurt I think about those fall days as a kid when I used to put on my Giants helmet with #43 on it (Spider Lockhart) and go up against my neighbors with their #10 (Fran T ) and #45 (Homer Jones) Giants helmets - Giants vs Giants .
I e-mailed one of those "kids" to congratulate him.

My Dad used to take us to the Yale Bowl to watch them play the Jets when it was a HUGE deal.

I REALLY wanted the Pats to go undefeated but I know my Dad has a GIANT smile because they didn't. He also happily lost a 5.00 bet with my Mom who was rooting for the Pats but they are both pessimists.

Life goes on.

On your planet which is higher 3 or 5? 19 knockdowns is an ASS WHIPPING!
