Add a bit of hot water to that mix too. It'll help open up your sinuses.
If that don't work, throw some 'Tussin at it. 'Tussin'll cure anything.

What you need is some good ol´fluffin!
We have the worst epidemic of gastroenteritis I have experienced the last ten years among the little toddlers here. The pediatric ER and all the wards are filled with kids throwing up. I have, however, the perfect recipe for not catching the bugs. It is called 'Gammel Dansk' and is a traditional Danish hard liquor. Guaranteed to drive all the bugs away.

RE: booze and being sick... IMHO it makes you feel better in the sort term but weakens your immune system and you stay sick longer.
That is my unscientific uneducated opinion, perhaps the doctors here could confirm or deny. However I have done extensive research on my own if you know what I mean.
