Stopped by a really cool little park today in Bowling Green KY - Aviation Heritage Park. It's located right in a residential area and looks like most municipal parks, except it features various military aircraft flown by local pilots over the years.

If you look closely at that 'Superbird' - you'll notice it's a 3/4 scale version, probably carbon fiber -since it's a 1-off, I'd hate to think what the cost was......

Yup, it's carbon fiber. ProMod class - which to me is the coolest class in drag racing. Lot's of creativity. Some are supercharged, some turbo, some nitrous. It's akin to the original Funny Car class in the 60s. They were running 213MPH in the 1/8 mile this weekend 5.4 @ 270+ in the 1/4. They are a hoot to watch. More from this weekend:
