Saw this 38 Ford at El Mirage this year. It's best time by it's dash plaques was @ Bonneville-8/02....157+mph ... not bad for a driver. And it's 1/4 mile time was 11.22 @ 122+mph

I still remember a little tidbit I read while building a plastic F-4 Phantom model around 1970. The instruction manual said something to the affect that a minute with afterburners on would burn more fuel than a Cadillac of the day would use traveling across the continental USA.
