When my son was 8, he was not allowed to surf the net in class. He is 10 now, and still isn't. But if any of you run across any pictures of his current teacher on the net, please send them to me.

Yeah, the PA48...nice plane but shared only 10% of Mustang components. Powered by a Lycoming engine. USAF didn't like it. Two prototypes are still around.

Wonder why it wasn't offered to the other services or to export.....

They were built in Lakeland FL at the Piper plant. I took a tour of the place in the early '80's and saw one of these ^ sitting in the corner being worked on. I think the A-10 really killed this plane.

Huh, the 914 was sold as a VW as well? I assume it was the same engine as the 914 as I thought that was VW engine. What was the difference, the interior?

In Europe, they were sold as VWs, This is for my 2.0.

That was the Euro logo. VW sold the 914/6.

In the US, Porsche/Audi sold them.

The US wackos like it because they think it's funny. They also refer to them as NARPs.
