You find the most amazing things sometimes




The last picture is the "Master Cylinder". The peddle twists the shaft that pulls the chain that pulls the cable that pulls the cam the presses the break shoes against the drum. But that only works on the front breaks, the rear breaks are actuated by a lever outside the car.

Doug --that's amazing---but I think they might be "brakes"[unless they are broken!]
Believe it or not, I owned a Bugatti, in Melbourne Australia, mid 1950's---I damaged it and left it with my brother while I went overseas---he 'disposed 'of it!----

I've always loved Ettore Bugatti's remark to a customer who complained about the braking.. "I make my cars to go, not to stop."
