Out on a little tour

Stopped at a nice restaurant, for chowder and Mac and cheese. (???) Never saw it done that way, but was great.

The best one was the Lobster one from Mama Camille...

2 O'clock in the morning and she would still feed the sailors on their way back to the ship.

Just trying to put a small collection together. There is also an 82 PK Ripper frame and fork not pictured. GJS & DG are next on my list. I figure, focus on the hardest ones to get, then work my way down. I've got a list of about 10 I'd like have. My kids dig 'em too. The JMC is for my 9 year old. My 4 year old now wants a "pink" one. I might have to build her a Hutch Freestyle bike.

Graphene could help keep planes flying in freezing conditions: 'Ribbons' of hi-tech material can keep wings ice free

Graphene could help planes fly in icy conditions | Daily Mail Online

MIL-STD-810G Method 521.3 Icing and Freezing Rain Test

Quote:
Icing and freezing rain occurs when the air is saturated with super-cooled water droplets which forms rime ice and/or glaze ice. Rime ice is a white or milky accumulation and is lighter, softer and less transparent than glaze ice. Glaze ice is a generally clear hard coating of ice. Rime forms when super-cooled water drops freeze on exposed surfaces. Glaze ice forms from a film of super-cooled water vapor freezing as a layer.

https://airfactsjournal.com/2016/03/icing-cold-hard-air-facts/

Quote:
Inadvertent flight into icing often (but not always) requires prompt action. If the airplane does not have complete ice protection, the options are to climb, descend, or turn around. Climbing only works if the performance is still there to do it. Descending only works if there is enough room between the freezing level and the ground. It pays to think through the possibilities beforehand.

Front wheel drive, aluminum and fiberglass body (designed by Boeing is the legend), air suspension in rear, + 6'2" standing head room, very low floor and hence CG. Mine has a solar panel in addition to the generator so power wise, I am good for a long while when not plugged in.

So Ken Block is going to run an old-school 1993 Grp A Escort Cosworth in stage rally this year. Cool that he did not resto-mod this thing with modern suspension, engine, driveline, etc. Basically running just like it was in the 90s.

Did a rattlecan refurb of my replica wheels during Easter. It was finally time to swap from winter to summer wheels up here in Norway, so I just got them mounted. Also, added rally lights (not to everyone's taste, I'm sure). Still not warm enough to warrant removal of the hard top.

On display at the Ringling Circus Museum in Sarasota, FLA. Human 'cannonballs' were launched by a giant spring, with some pyrotechnics added for effect.
