Still think that is a timeless design. I distinctly remember looking at a red M6 sitting in the showroom circa '89 or so. I was making pretty good money at that time, seriously considered buying. The sticker was @$60k. It was beautiful.

That gold E24 pictured above is a Euro model, post 1984, easy to tell from the factory Hella foglights and wrap around rear slim rear bumper (and of course slim front bumper). Lovely car.
