Leo Payne at Bonneville circa 1969/1970. 96 cubic inch Ironhead Sportster stroker running on about 92% nitro. First non-streamliner to top 200 mph at Bonneville. High gear only, Mr. Payne was famous for holding onto the door handle of a pickup truck as it helped him up to about 70 mph, where he could start gingerly engaging the clutch as he rolled on throttle.

^^^At 92% assuming he was running a carburetor-the Pope must have blessed the bottom end, the mechanic welded the top end to the cases.....
