The most famous of the Iowa Class battleships is the USS Missouri (63 - 'Mighty Mo'), where the WWII Japanese armistice was signed.

The Missouri was mothballed then reactivated and used again in the '90's during Desert Storm. It's a museum now.

It's actually in San Francisco now. Suisun bay... another 'mothball' fleet.

It was actually recommissioned and active in the 80's/90's; there was a famous explosion in the #2 turret, killing many sailors.
