Lots of cars have gone faster than that by now.

I thought Ultima but then decided that as much as I don't care for the Ultima's looks that the thing posted was too ugly to be even an early Ultima.

"The thing posted" and the Ultima have different badges, so it's probably not an Ultima.

"The thing posted" is a single-seater.

Not that I care, because it is pretty homely, but maybe somebody will run one of those tinyeye searches on it.

For what it's worth, Ultima Sports LTD was selling the US manufacturing and distribution rights a year or two ago. I don't know if they found a buyer or just sell strictly from the UK now.

Found it... its actually an Italian Piaggio 149D.

Germany bought some from the Italians and F-W license-built some of them.

Looks a LOT like a 9/10 North American Navion.
