* Apparently, as Silodrome excerpted from Randy Leffingwell’s recent book on Corvettes, the producers of the Batman TV series asked GM to propose a design for a Batmobile. It looks like GM took the assignment super serious. (via)

You PARF'd it up..........do you realize that to get tar sands to flow in a pipe ammonia-like additives have to be added right? When a pipeline spill happens the toxins separate and become airborne killing anything in low lying lands and water.

Potential Keystone Pipeline Leaks Underestimated, Study Finds

Oh yea, and those additives eat though the pipes at a fast rate too, causing even more leaks.

yes, you really PARFed it up

However, the accident rate for pipeline transport is much lower than that for rail transport.

OTOH, the amount of damage or size of spill for pipeline transport is much greater than that for rail transport (this one will change those stats maybe).

There are also some negatives to move electrons around the continent...

oh yeh - that's another transportation photo:

no biggie

here is something that many look at as great (however, a Porsche engineer looks at it as inefficient):

PWT neighbors getting their truck repo'd. I'm not exactly clear on what's going on, but he's wedged his fat ass in the truck and there's a lot of yellin' and cussin' goin' on.
