So I guess this is an example of the fact that if a guy is too stupid or too cheap to keep up with basic maintenance on his race car, the same probably holds true regarding the wisdom or the cost of wearing a helmet.

Goggles, even. He looks quite surprised at the fact that the wheel is passing him.

I'd love to see what happened in the next five seconds.

I was watching the Indy Mecum auctions this afternoon and this '66 GT350 came across the stage... it had been bought new by Herbert Müller.

Can any of y'all describe the purpose of this unusual plumbing on the cooling system? Those two cannisters look like filters.

Dude, wuz that 'sposed to be in green?
They didn't even have helmets back then, unless maybe they were made out of cloth or leather.
