I had one like this when I was a kid. Saved a long time to get it. I think I had it less than a year when it was stolen.

Ironically, the stingray replaced the corvette at Schwinn even though they made both in 1965 (corvette II)

Similar to the Schwinns above I got a Raleigh "Chopper" when I was in elementary school. I thought I was the king of the block



I wasn't very bright or coordinated as a kid, well...ever, and rode that bike over a large dirt jump that neighbor kids built. Now bear in mind I never attempted a jump before and had no clue what I was doing. The other kids made it look so easy. I don't remember what happened, I woke up in our kitchen as my Dad was washing the blood and dirt from my head in the kitchen sink. My friend said it was the worst endo he ever saw.

My dad bought me a black Chopper with orange lettering back in the early 70's. Top of the line 5 speed with the red line tires and high back rest! Man, I was the "Dude"!

I still have my three speed Raleigh Chopper, but the gears no longer work properly. There were also five-speed bikes I think.
