'Kustomizer' Gene Winfield (now 90 years old) and Ed Iskenderian (a spry 96) looking over the Ford hotrod that Ed built way back in 1939. This is a time-capsule car direct from the dawn of hotrodding...original (even the tires) and un-restored.

The Mercury flathead features an early OHV conversion.

They must have done a better cleaner installation than anything else flying because I'm just not seeing it on that water-cooled B-17 prototype.

Could it be supercharged not turbocharged? Wasn't the P-38 both?

Those old turbos must have run real hot, all exposed to be cooled by passing air, not buried in sheet work.
