I've been around for 47, and have watched as every single special interest group gets preferential treatment and I've watched the average white guy get blamed for things he had nothing to do with. I've watched laws pass that create special favoritism for other groups, and laws passed that add extra punishment if a white man commits the same crime as another group. I've watched white men persecuted for saying the exact same word that certain special interest groups use constantly. maybe that's why he's angry?

I accept no blame or punishment for something that happened before I was born.

Yes there is racism in some places, yes there are inequalities in some places, but I neither contributed to or benefited from them.
My legacy? Hardly. That had absolutely nothing to do with me getting where I am. I earned every single bit of what I have. I started with absolutely nothing except a minimum wage job pumping gas. I worked hard, I paid my dues, I kept my mouth shut and took orders, I paid for my schooling.
I had the same challenges, the only difference is I didn't have the same excuses. Maybe if i had a built-in excuse I wouldn't have tried so hard.

sorry Sam, but you benefited from the mere fact of being white. Your race and gender made opportunities available to you that were not equally available to other races. I have no doubt you worked hard to get where you are, and earned what you have. That isn't what I'm talking about. It is about the ways that society has favored white males. You did not face the same challenges as a black man. Or a Chinese immigrant. Or a Hispanic.

To cut to it, in America, there are a couple distinct cultures often referred to in terms of black and white. These are cultural distinctions. (certainly there are asshats out there who see just skin color, but that is a different subject) Certainly if an American man with black skin adopts white culture he will get crap from the black culture for being "uncle tom..."

so now we have the wusses who have to cry foul if any speak of being white. . . what it is ....surely it can be couched as racist if it's "white".:rolleyes:

The choices are already limited: 1) a black man; 2) a woman; 3) a white man whose politics greatly favor the black man and the woman.

Hence, the angry white man's vote means nothing at this point.

So what's next? Capitulation? Assimilation? Indifference?
