Bamboo floors throughout the house in Texas. Very soft floor.
Laminate in Louisiana. Couldn't stand the stuff. Solid oak in Jersey. Overall my favorite. Once you live with the stuff, you will never by wall to wall carpet again.

Five guys, five days. Ground the floors, leveled them, plastic membrane, and then the flooring. I even put hardwood floors in all the closets! I didn't want to have nice floors and nasty of green carpeting in the closets. Did everything except the formal sunken living room which remains carpeted, it looks like new since we never use it. Now to put the house back together. Great chance to dust, and toss out crap.
