I don't think the CC ID protection is anything more than the CC company getting uyou to help pay their fees for losses. The retailer gets stuck for not requirng a valid ID at time of purchase.

Thanks for that info I am on the phone with AMEX right now and then I am calling you about that E30 your parting out.

I looked at your screen name on there and I am saying to myself, man, I know that screen name. I thought maybe I knew it from an old RX7 site I used to frequent and then it hit me, he is a Pelican!!

The general consensus is that if you call the order in you should be safe. It's supposed to be the internet orders that are more susceptible.

Just what I've heard.

hahah, yep, if you see my name, it's almost guaranteed to be me. I think there's an old guy in Cincinnati that's related that used to be in a classic Mustang club, but there aren't many more of us.

Someone stole my credit card and hit the 20K limit!!!!

How do I know?

1. Went to the store to buy clothes for kids.
2. Lady swiped the CC and told me that it would not go through.
3. She ran it again 3 times without success. I finally said forget it, here is another card.
4. Called my CC Co. upon home arrival.
5. They told me that it was maxed-out!
6. I said No Way!
7. CC Co. said that I had used my 'new credit card' as it was to expire in a few week.
8. Ding! Ding! Ding!

Well, we found out that when the CC was mailed, someone intercepted it and started to buy TVs, vacation tickets, hotel charges, etc.

My liability was $0.00.
8. New

You're welcome.

E30? Huh?!

No E30 here. A 911 or two, yes, but no E30's...
