you make some pretty sweeping statements unsupported by facts there Frenchy, nice work

Why is it that when an atheist and a non-atheist have a discussion, it seems the atheist goes out of their way to be offensive? I don't think it really bolsters your position, and I would say it is a big part of the perception that atheists are pseudo intellectual weenies.
If your reading comprehension was up where your ego is, you would clearly see I was including ALL religions in my post; And you would realize I wasn't comparing all governments to religion. So right away you are all cocked up.

There are no unsupported statements in my post, only your lack of knowledge of comparative religions, history and archeology or your base laziness in obtaining that knowledge that prevents you from validating my statements. The effort to verify my statements as factual is easily done, even you might be able to do it.

I would like you to re-phrase my post using (after you make the effort to actually learn something and can validate my statements) in such a way that would be as factual as I was without being insulting to the religious. Let's see your best effort.

Sometimes the facts are painful to accept, but they are still the facts.

You know, I went to the ITAG thread and poked around.

If you discount snowman said(which I think is a given) I did not see a single instance of one of the religious guys being offensive or insulting to the atheists. Plenty of the converse, but I only scanned through the last half dozen pages.

see post above for further evidence of insulting coming from the atheists

Thanks, Frenchy for supporting my position, I honestly do appreciate it. You compared Communism to Christianity, then said all religions were the same.

If I honestly thought your intent were to educate rather than insult, my opinion of you would be profoundly different, but you honestly could not care less what some half wit relgious zealot has to say. Ca ne fait rien, eh

Yep, that's a pic of one of my childhood sports heros, Eddie Mathews, Milwaukee Braves.

Another one of your patented sidesteps combined with a false victory dance in the end-zone of your mind. I see the intellectual challenge was too much for you. Just as I suspected.

And again you happily illustrate the low levels of reading comprehension you posses. If you only found snowedmans insults in the ITAG thread from the religious side, then you are biased beyond belief or inept. C'est la Vie.

Jim, if you don't think that saying that all religions are the same as Christianity (which according to RPK is the same as Communism) is much of a stretch, then I don't find it much of a leap to lump all governments in with Communism. Sorry if I painted with too broad of a brush. The discussion has obviously gotten beyond me, I'll bow out now. But it was very fun while it lasted.

Taz, you're certainly welcome to make any assumptions or leaps of faith that make you happy. But if you do, please don't ascribe them to me.
