Olympic Sports Unseen Everyday in The U.S....
Okay. So Team U.S.A. walloped China today in basketball. Yawn. How about sports you don't see practically everyday in the U.S., like:
Badminton: hardcore. These guys have some serious athletic ability and high-speed reactions. The "birdie" or "shuttle cup" the players hit, goes much faster than I expected. This isn't something played in the back yard with the kids. Handball: I think that's what it's called. A variable of soccer, but played with the hands using a ball that can be thrown between the players and into the net. Cool game. Personally, I'm looking forward to Table Tennis. IMO it's one of the best games in The Games.

At least baseball is isn't this Olympics. Like we need more baseball in August? I'd much rather watch shooting sports.

I think its a real slap in the face to the Chinese if they don't show a good few rounds of Ping Pong. Stupid of the TV channel to do that.

I watch this "Handball" sport this moring for a little bit on MSNBC while getting dressed. Never have seen it before. Indoor soccer using a smaller ball and using your hands. Maybe water polo without the water is better describing it..
