If all of you Chicken Littles stay home hiding tomorrow night, then I won't have to deal with traffic when I go out to knock back some beers and watch some soccer. I might even have to turn the wipers on, but i doubt it.

There would have to be a 2000 foot rift in the Earth from I-10 south to the Beltway to stop me from going out.

Here are the plans for tonight. Head down to Galveston and drink a few beers on the seawall. Should be pretty sweet.

Anyone want to meet up?

Chicken Little huh? Just how many hurricanes did you ride out in AZ? I telling you, get your beer early or risk last minute shopping maddness like the guy in the picture..

2 leftovers, actually. But it was Irene in 1999 that hit me dead on. I wouldn't talk out of my butt on the subject if I had not been through a small weak barely stable tropical storm before. I have complete confidence that I will be able to drive to the pub at 7pm tomorrow and watch a soccer game.

Getting home however...well, that's ALWAYS a problem

Yep, and Allision was supposed to be a "non-event" tropical strorm, until it stalled over Houston and dropped 22 inches of rain.

No chicken little here. Just making sure I have enough beer, gas for the generator in case the power gets knocked out, fill cars with gas, etc. We're going to move small items out of the backyard, but that is about it.

Some wag on the radio this AM reminded everyone to only buy wine-in-a-box ----- cuz it'll float.

Seriously, hope all you guys south of town are ready for this one. Ya never know. I think we're pretty secure up in the Woodlands (except for the occasional pine tree across power lines).

Take Care!

I say buy about 20 kegs, through a hellacious bender and then use the empty kegs to make a raft. You'll be all set.

Slowing down, increasing in intensity. The slower it goes, the more rain it drops.

Whatever, we're ready.

It's already turning. I expect 3 inches at my house on the West side. That's it. Bupkiss (I've never actually seen that word in print, I don't know how to spell it...)

Little correction to the north as reported on the 10 update may spare western Harris (my casa) from taking a direct hit.
