She's still running!! She's been running for 8 years and she's going to run for 4 more years - 12 years!!! Can she really keep this going for that long? Isn't that some kind of record?

I think Nixon ran for about 8 years before he finally broke through. I was sick of her back in the 90's when she tried to take over health care. But 12 years of campaining has got to wear you out finally.

Maybe she'll stay down for a couple of years, just rising up every six months or so to take a pot shot at McCain. Look for her to really get the machine fired up around 2010.

I wish that the Clintons were not such flawed characters because they are very effective politicians and the country and world were much better off when Clinton was president. The price of absolutely everything is going through the roof right now while Bush's closest corporate friends are getting so fat that they are about to explode. It's been a tragedy for the country and the world.

This is exactly why you lefties think O is the messiah. Actions count for nothing. One must "think correctly." The best way to exhibit "correct thought" is by giving good speech.

Bill certainly can. No argument there. But saying she gives a good speech just shows how low our expectations have sunk. Her voice alone sounds like nails on a chalkboard to me. Did you even listen to her speech Tuesday night? I am telling you she did a good job and trust me, I hate her and what she stands as much as you. Sure Slick Willy is the better of the two at delivering speeches, but Hillary and her speech writers nailed this one in regards to convincing her sheeple to support BHO.

I was hoping she would come off smelling of sourgrapes big time, but it did not come off that way.

I am hoping Bill will not be able to restrain himself tonight and will spew some zingers. If not, the entertainment value of watching this trainwreck will go downhill from here.

Yes, I watched it and heard a lot of it again on the news today. It may have been good for her limited oratory abilities. But again, that just shows how much she has lowered expectations. Her monotone, robotic reading of each line is just nauseating. The only thing good about the speech is that she didn't muff it up and they had it loaded in the teleprompter just right.

Every time I see her on tv, I think back to her fake crocodile tears just before the NH primary and wonder who in the world believes her BS. How can anyone of voting age be so easily fooled by such a phony? But then we have plenty of folks here who do believe it and Dottore even sent her a check.

I'll save Matt's wife the trouble. Remember the summer of 2001 when ALL taxpayers got refund checks? That's right - ALL TAXPAYERS. Not the government-favored grievance groups or much-vaunted "middle class" - ALL TAXPAYERS. If you're wealthy, you already pay the most taxes, so any kind of tax cut for ALL TAXPAYERS will give you more back than if you were in the lowest bracket. Is that really so hard for you to understand? Even if we had a flat tax of 10% and it was reduced down to 9%, the wealthiest taxpayers would see the largest tax break. Surely, you understand how that works. Or are you confusing Bush's tax cuts with the EITC, aka welfare, where you get a "tax credit" on taxes you never paid to begin with?

You were brought up with a sense of entitlement. You confuse getting into a good school because of pull with hard work. You inherited most of your money and thought that being born on third base meant you hit a home run. Even as a littel kid you were too nasty and grabby to share with the other kids, and as an adult (or the overgrown teenage pimple that passes for an adult) you still never figured out that treating others fairly and decently works out best for everyone in the end. You think basic human decency in a modern civilized society is having someone "living off of you" when in fact your money-grubbing lifestyle does not allow you to see beyond your own orifices. You constantly worry if you are keeping up appearances with your neighbors in the ostentatious display of wealth. You built your wealth the old-fashioned way - you stole it from somebody else - often by chiseling a dime here and a few pennies there, multiplied by the thousands.. You look up to the robber barons of history as heroes, and you would fight over a grain of sand if somebody told you it was valuable. You have earned nothing fairly or honestly - except the right to perdition.

that sounded very much like the kind of BS I would expect to hear from an angry member of a minority. One with lots of excuses and chips on his shoulders. One who's been brainwashed that it's everyone else's fault but his.

My parents were dirt poor when I was young. My father lost his job at Morton thyocol when I was a couple years old because the contract was canceled. He got a job cleaning bottles at Hercules propellant company and pumping gas on second shift to pay the bills. He didn't blame anyone else or pretend that someone else should pay his bills for him, or that someone else should work hard so he doesn't have to. His portrait is now hanging in the hall of distinguished alumni at the university he couldn't graduate from because he had to drop out and work to pay the rent. They honored him that way when he neared retirement and presented him a gold-leaf diploma, even though he never went back to finish that final semester.

I remember waiting for my father to get home with his paycheck so my mother could go grocery shopping and feed my brothers and I, because there was no food. I remember sharing a few pieces of saltine crackers with my brothers and that was all there was that day. I remember hungry. I remember very clearly when I was about 8, the very first time I tasted steak. My grandfather bought some cheap steaks and they BBQ'd them, that was the most amazing taste I had ever experienced. It was magical. Entitlement my ass.

My parents eventually did very well for themselves but not until later in life when I was already out on my own.

You can take you weak attempt at false guilt and go put it somewhere. I went to the local community college at night while working full time, then the local state college. I paid for it all myself. Both degrees. No minority scholarship, no help from some racist college funding organization, No one pulled any strings for me or gave me a dime and I never asked for it.

I started out as an apprentice millwright in 1980 to pay the rent and put bills and climbed to the position of senior mechanical engineer and I did it on my own. Working during the day and going to school at night, and raising a family inbetween. I did that instead of sitting around blaming someone else for my own shortcomings.

I earned every single thing I have and I resent some politician who represents the lazy, good for nothing so and so's who are too worthless or stupid to support themselves trying to say I owe them for some stupid imaginary middle-class white guilt.

I resent the hell out of that and I've earned that right. I have earned the right to be a grouchy old man and speak my mind and I exercise that right on a regular basis.
