Obama on the community organizer criticism:

"They [Republicans] haven't talked about the fact that I was a civil rights lawyer; they haven't talked about the fact that I taught constitutional law; they haven't talked about my work in the state legislature, in the United States Senate," he said. "They're talking about the three years of work that I did right out of college as if that's-- I'm making the leap from two or three years out of college into the presidency."

Obama added though that his work as a community organizer was relevant to who he is and the kind of people he's "fighting for."

"Why would that kind of work be ridiculous?" Obama said. "Who are they fighting for? What are they advocating for? They think that the lives of those folks who are struggling each and every day, that working with them to try to improve their lives is somehow not relevant to the presidency? I think maybe that's the problem -- that's part of why they're out of touch and they don't get it 'cause they haven't spent much time working on behalf of those folks."

If Obama's views on the 2nd and 10th Amendments are any indication of his qualifications to teach Const. law to others, I'm very worried. Republicans very much should bring that up. but most folks have no idea what the Bill of Rights is all about anyway.

Not a bad thing for someone to do, right out of college, in my mind. While this alone does not qualify him to be president, it is not something that should be mocked. In my mind, Palin owes him an apology for this.

Meaning what, what exactly did he do? Did he write about it? Meditate over it? Council for grief? File lawsuits? What exactly did he do?

Besides, for something he did for a few years right out of college, why do you need more details than "work focused on addressing housing problems and other concerns of the black urban poor?"

Why does Obama refuse to release his papers from his time as a community organizer and in the Illinois Senate then, calling them "unimportant"? Seems he wants to project an image of accomplishment without any actual proof.

How about generating sufficient community activism to prevent another 4 years of the last 8? I'd say he's pretty successful so far. Of course, there are those who prefer not to to mess with "success" or instead conjure a boogeyman who will bankrupt the country, erode constitutional rights and insert our armies into countries for "national interest" in the name of freedom and democracy. Why does he want to skip over the fact that Palin is the GOV and keep reminding people she was a mayor of a small town.
