Under mounting political pressure over pork projects, (the Democrat-controlled) Congress stripped the earmark -- or stipulation -- that the money be used for the airport, but still sent the money to the state for any use it deemed appropriate.

I have a better idea:
We stop printing billions of dollars for wars overseas. This would make the dollar stronger and thus the price of oil would go down. |

Soooo she's not so much a reformer as a repurposer? there's a lot more to this story actually, the bridge was coming down before she got in office, she was there just to get the money. in other words, she's a liar.

It is a natural gas pipeline. The pipeline will follow the Alaska oil pipeline, then head towards northern Alberta to tie into the existing mainlines (that we have been upgrading over the last several years); and continue south into the lower 48. http://www.transcanada.com/Alaska/pdf/Alaska_Pipeline_Project_B_LR.pdf max PS - please park your SUVs a couple days of the week, I could use a few days off once in awhile.

While T Boone's plan to develop alternative and green energy is welcome and needed, I don't think he is entirely altruistic in this endevour. He has invested over $40 million of his own money just in advertising alone to promote the Pickens Plan. Basically, if he can convince us to use natural gas for fueling vehichles, natural gas has another and more profitable use. I would supspect, ole T Boone, being the shrewd old fox that he is, has a back pocket full of gas leases, wells and prospects in his back pocket, just waiting for the market for natural gas and compressed natural gas to fully develope. Nothing wrong with mind you, just the rest of the story, of course, IMHO.

Did Bill Clinton teach you NOTHING about "IS" and "WAS" ?
Try this: When gas was 2$/gal, and Oil 60$/Barrel John McCain WAS against drilling in ANWR
