I see the rules have been posted, but I noticed that the qualifying rules are not up. "Any car posting a faster lap then ferrari will be penlized 10 grid positions."

Absolutely wonderful race! Vettel was damn near flawless and I bet Torro Rosso are wishing he would stick around next year. To be honest, with the pace of the Torro Rosso I wouldn't want to leave. I'm sure Red Bull Sr team will get on just fine with Vettel in their car though.

Another refreshing race to see all first year winners on the podium. This proves that at least in the driver arena, we have alot to look forward to.

The rain didn't have anything to do with it??? History shows that rain can and will produce unusual results. And, after hearing Vettel's comments, I think only a 21 YO has the nerves, reactions and lack of sense (read fear, if you will) to drive like that. Next race will be the proof.

Vettel has been improving all year, the fact he won it from pole speaks volumes!

It wasn’t like the podium finish Piquet had this year based on a bizarre rule for being in pit lane
at the right time. I will never understand how that rule works
HK couldn’t reel him on mostly dry conditions towards the end?

Vettel did pretty good at Spa, if I recall. The team has been steadily improving all year. Not only did he win if from pole, he dominated. No one could match his pace. He only lost the lead during his first pit.

I would have liked to have seen what Bourdais could have done with a fourth place start. That starting position is more indication that the team is improving.

What that race confirmed is that the Ferrari is a pig to drive on full wets ( look at Silverstone ) and the McLaren is a rocket ship. When the rain slows and they go to intermediates - they become different cars. The Carbon Industries brakes would have helped Ferrari if it had been dry, but were treacherious in the wet.

Vettel was on another planet. I am just so happy that Minardi won a race! We used to root for Minardi at the Detroit races in the mid 80's - just because they were so much the underdog. Hey, every dog has it's day.

Did anyone notice the early, early interview with Bernie E this weekend?
I can’t remember if it was during the race, Inside Formula 1 or Formula 1 Debrief.

It was way back in time when Bernie looked like a human being and he was thanking the
late “Enzo Ferrari” for all he has done for F1 or something to the effect.

I wonder if this was the carry over to modern day Ferrari F1 bias?

Budget difference? Probably in the same proportion.

Huge upset. Way to go for the underdog teams.

Toyota must be gnashing their teeth, but their time will come. I would consider them underdogs were it not for their huge race budget.

The above is all true, but if you remove the engine team (Ferrari), design team (Red Bull racing) and the chasis team (RBR again) all you have are bunch of guys putting things together like Legos. Minardi on the other hand built their own cars.

That said, it was a great accomplishment for them. This season has had the biggest variety of winners in a long time, between drivers and teams. It's been a good season so far minus the Spa fiasco.

A little understated, since RBR, the senior team, has yet to take that podium place. However, you're right in that much development work is performed by RBR.

It was a great achievement to put all the Legos together in great concert, something the big boys and other teams were unable to pull off at one of the great GPs.
