Not a chick car. Check out the new Coupe, very hot. Looks like a baby Viper.

Oh, and Happy Birthday to you

Performance of these cars is pretty poor. There are some turbo models, but still ... that is why no serious car person would consider them. They are a fad. I think women may fall for fads easier than men, but these particular cars have both women and men drive them around here. I think both cars are based on the european Opel?

My wife just bought a Mini Cooper S!

When she was looking I thought, “Here we go, it’s gonna be a Camry, Civic or some Hybrid”
I got instant wood when she choose the Cooper, these cars are a blast!

Why do you think the Ford F-150 is the best selling car around? Because it costs less than any other car!

It's all about the price, stupid.
The M.B. SLK is NOT a chick car gawddammit!

It's a gay hairdresser's car. At least so I was told after I bought it. But I still like it.

And I ain't gay or a hairdresser. Not yet anyway.

Convertibles of all models are for girly men. Perhaps with the exception of Bentley and the like. A real man does not care for the wind in his hair and the sun tan. He is preoccupied with integral rigidity and safety when rolling at track days.

The red one looks like a female character from Disney's "Cars". Even more Girly than the Miata IMHFO.

The silver thing just looks - American.

Hay, for what its worth I think both cars are attractive and if given the chance would I buy one? Well for 25K, I think I would get a nice 928 instead. Just my opinion...

25k will buy you a hell of a 911. And you will still have 80% of your "investment" years down the line. Fad cars are the worst car to buy. Those SKY/Solstice cars will be in 5-10k territory in 5-8 years.

I am a ragtop guy. Big old American ragtop iron is not girlie man - IMHO.

Ahrgh - this is terrible. Opel had a mid engined "Speedster" - looks like a fun car:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Opel_Speedster

That got replaced with a SKY clone now called the Opel GT (after their much better looking budget sports car from the late 60s / early 70s).
