Italian GP thread
Since the Monza thread was horn-swaggled, I'll start a new Italian GP thread.
Discuss. Predictions?

Hamilton will win.
The stewards will penalize him for something random after the fact. There is no way the FIA will let anyone other than Ferrari win the Italian GP.

I think moral at Mclaren is down, and now they are going into enemy territory. So, I see Ferrari 1-2, and maybe one of the BMW's in 3rd. It's a very fast circuit, so those with straight-line speed should do well. The question now is, which Ferrari to put out front?

Kimi will have to drive like Jesus with his hair on fire if McLaren has pace, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed. Massa will definatley be fast, perhaps another pole position.
Kimi will win by 5 seconds over Massa or Hamilton is my prediction. I don't know if Ferrari will keep the reigns back on Kimi this weekend and have him keep Hamilton busy. If that's the case and he does it, I imagine Kubica or Kovalainen will sneak up and snag a podium. Maybe even Seabas!? Can't wait! EDIT: Great Uncle in Finland is sending me Kimi stamps

Hambone will jump the shark, Massa will win.
Something will happen to Kimi and he will end up in the points but not on the podium. Hay it's just a guess, who knows? |

I think with Kimi, in his now downgraded mode with Ferrari, will qualify with a light load in order to occupy LH.
Too bad, I was pulling for Kimi this year ![]() My predictions, Massa for the win, LH p2 and HK p3. LH will get Pole.

![]() Rain might make it a very interesting race. Hamilton will want revenge. Massa will be giving it his all. And Kimi better wake up. Ian

Kimi's championship is done. Whether it's because the car didn't suit his driving style and he failed to develop it or because he simply has had a lapse in motivation his season (which I don't think is the case), he's going to be playing an assistance role in the constructor's championship and in Massa's hopes. That being said I have a feeling they'll stick with a lighter fuel load for qualifying and maybe send him out as a rabbit to see if he can't run away with it and as a result he will win. Correct me if I'm wrong but I think that so long as Ferrari can get a decent handling setup they will have more straight line speed as they have had in other races. The key for them as a team will be engine reliability.

Kimi leads in Friday's P2, followed by both BMW Sauber's while Massa struggled with grip

Kimi has just re-signed for Ferrari...so his has got a bit of motivation....not that his performance at Spa showed he was too fast asleep....
McLaren had a stonking 1-2 at Monza last year... Hmmmm....interesting times... I don't think that Ferrari will 'favour' Massa over KR...merely try different strategies to see if KR can steal a march on the grid in quali and the race... |

Little quote from Hamilton;
Raikkonen's early braking was also a contributory factor to which Hamilton pointedly remarked: "That's the way he drives." "If you don't have the balls to brake late, that's your problem." Very relieved Kimi signed for 2010, now he needs a big win at Monza.

Was Kimi's massive lead over Massa a dream? I think not. In that Massa finished ahead of Raikkonen in the race doesn't change their difference in race pace.
Public sentiment goes in favor of not-Ferrari because of last week's weak call. FWIW. Sherwood |

All Ferrari front row in the rain. One will take out the other and Hamilton will win followed by Kubica. Who cares who finishes third.
