Married 32 years last month.

I notice the long termers tend to marvel at their spouse's acceptance of them.
Same is true here.

I'm still trying to figure out how I had the good sense (or dumb luck) to marry her.

I did not marry until I got a good chunk of partying, dirt bike racing, autocrossing, go-cart racing, skiing and a couple of airplanes under my belt. I was 30. It is coming up on twelve years now since marrying my wife... so far so good.

I was lucky to meet and marry the girl that was in fact my best friend. We are celebrating 29 years of marriage this February. With two adult children and two grandchildren, life has never been better for us.

If you can't honeslty say that you have met your best friend/soul mate, don't get married. Having "fun" with someone does not constitute grounds for marriage.
