The Carmax offer reflects the current market. Very few people are buying cars right now and the used BMW market is loaded. My local Craigs list search returned 987 used BMW listings...

A lady just test drove my car and says she wants it. She's giving the VIN to her bank tomorrow and then calling me. She made no mention of price, but even if she's not thinking full offer ($16,500), I doubt she'll go much lower and that'll be well over twice what Carmax offered.
