+1 on Miele!

Like the Sears cannister. We got one about 3 years ago and it's had a couple of issues, but overall a great and versitale vacuum. The lifetime warranty was the main draw, along with the cannister design.

I think our next one may be a Dyson. I use a Shark electric broom to suck up the pet hair in between vacuums, we have a Husky and that thick hair is everywhere, even though I brush her every other day.

We got the animal. She liked it better than the Miele after trying them out. Thanks everyone.
