That was fun to watch. It looks like there might be a 3 way tie breaker in the Big 12 South when OU beats Tech in a few weeks. This assumes that would be the only loss the rest of the way for the 3 teams fighting for the championship game spot v. Missouri. While Tech played a near perfect game, Texas looked like cow shyte in the first half. This win for Tech almost makes me wish I still lived in Austin. The Texas this Texas that gets really old, they needed this loss, IMHO.

What happened to the SEC? How is USC top 5 and Texas Tech is not? Oregon State is pretty good this year, good against the Sun Devils, but how good could that be...

Yeah...how weird it is in Oregon. My two favorite teams won today. That is, the Beavers squeaked one out against Arizona State...the backup QB doing a journeyman's job. Hope the starter can return by next week...shoulder injury.
Oh, the other favorite team? This week it was Cal, the team playing the Ducks. Cal's win places the Beavers ahead of the Ducks in the race for the Pac 10 Championship. "All" the Beavers need do now is win out the season...since they beat USC, that would make them the PAC10 champs. A tall order...but Beaver believers can hope...we're practiced at doing that. Welcome to the Rogers neighborhood...

wow just wow. Texas didn't show up and Tech was a team on a mission. I hope Tech gets a proper ranking from the BCS this week, #1. Texas will be lucky to stay in the top 10.

Great game by Tech.
The wife and I went to the Texas A&M/Colorado game in College Station. The Ags played a good game and won 24-17. We're kicking around the idea of getting season tickets to A&M for next year. Anyhow, I have a little soft spot for Tech since we went there for medical school...I'll always cheer for Tech against t.u. Go Ags!

Super exciting game between two excellent teams. TT definitely earned the win in that one.
As it turns out, the Big 12 is absolutely stacked with great teams. I had no idea just how strong this conference really was at the beginning of the season, but wow. Mike |

In all honesty Texas is probably the better team but TT came to play and UT did not. After watching just a few minutes of the game I figured TT was going to win. They were focused and executing really damn well and UT couldn't buy a reception. Now I just want to see if Leach can keep Tech playing this focused since they are starting their run down the gauntlet.

Awesome, awesome game. It's a shame one of the two had to come out with a loss. I'm also glad to see Tech at #2 in the BCS, which is deserved.

My guess is that TTU will lose one of the next couple of games and will end up ranked around 5th or 6th.
Penn state will cruise through their easy schedule and will be ranked #1 and undefeated, until they lose the BCS championship game to the sooners or Florida or whoever. Penn State are most definately not the best team in the nation IMO. After watching them struggle with a very weak tennessee team, They are over-achievers as was discussed earlier in this thread. IMO The best team in the nation will end up ranked 4th and will seriously spank whoever they play in the rose bowl. |

1. Alabama 9-0 2. Texas Tech 9-0 3. Penn State 9-0 4. Texas 8-1 5. Florida 7-1 6. Oklahoma 8-1 7. USC 7-1 8. Utah 9-0 9. Oklahoma State 8-1 10. Boise State 8-0 For once I actually halfway agree with the BCS. Though I don't think PSU deserves to be #2 with their soft schedule. Personally I think strength of schedule should get even more weight in the equation. Then we might actually have a competitive championship game. Alabama actually has a fairly light rest of the year (for the SEC), only facing LSU and then the SEC championship. PSU has it easy, though #16 Michigan State could be a problem for their last game (fingers crossed). TTU has a hellish road, getting #9 O-State then #6 OU on the road. Poor Texas almost made it, but the 4th straight top-10 opponent in a row finally caught up with them. They should win out, but need TTU to drop 2 games for them to end up in the Big 12 championship game. Florida also has it pretty easy, facing #22 FSU in their last game. OU still has TTU and O-State, and needs a miracle to win the South. What a season, especially for the Big 12 South.

I agree. It would also make for a better season overall, as certain teams might become incentivized to schedule some real competition.

I'm hoping it's the Beavers in the Rose Bowl, not USC...
