I don't mean class III requires waiving of rights, per se. But at least with full auto guns, I believe you do have to let the jackbooted thugs into your house at any time to "inspect" the weapon. And since they are LEO's, anything else they see would be fair game and they could always use your tax stamp as a de facto search warrant.

I'd keep the 12 ga. I have a Winchester 1300 Defender, and a Remington 870, both set up for zombie duty. They both beat the ***** out of you when rifing slugs as well.

C&R license does not mean much in CA, as everything modern still has to go through a FFL.

Buying a gun and having it shipped to you without going through an FFL Dealer is illegal.
In most states one can ship to a C&R if the gun qualifies as being C&R, otherwise its off to the FFL.
