So true, even on lower levels. I won a sucker bet on a blind taste test between rail Vodka and Absolut. This was even "back in the day" and well before I had anything resembling a discerning palette (hence the Absolut). Furthermore, it was mixed with tonic. It's a common misconception that all Vodka tastes alike. Maybe all cheap Vodka does- not sure about that.

Sorry to step on the "Gin" thread. carry on...

Gin/Tonic is often my drink of choice. I have tried many gins. My choice is Tangueray.
