Transmission seems fine. What you are hearing are the stock, plastic muffler bearings.

I think this would be a good car for her, but she obviously needs to take it to a Driver Skills Day to get a 'feel' for how the car handles.

You're joking, right?

(Or is the OP joking about this whole thread?)

The squeal is from the gears. Its pitch increases with speed. I can't even hear a muffler, though I do hear engine induction. I don't even think that's a standard transmission in the car; it looks sequential to me.

All-in-all, it seems like a race car. I'm not sure it's truly street worthy.
