The American muscle young people I know aspire to is a great big 4x4 Pickup rigged for offroad stuff, even Diesel power. The Racers are Ricing and swapping in bigger factory motors they can get cheap.
I suspect most Crane customers in the last decade were boomers with a muscle car as a hobby or 2nd car. But the last time I looked a rebuilding a V8, the cost of machining scared me off. Still, sad to see them go.

the crate motors from the various factories made it very attractive to build up a muscle car. if i ever get an early bronco, i am buying a motor from Ford.
