Saw Pat last November and he's fine. I think some of the other guys communicate with him far more regularly.

Since the Parf split, OT is kind of boring. That and quite a few are EXTREMELY disgusted by the last election and the direction our country is headed as a result. I know I personally feel like just telling the other side to eff off and die some days after hearing about the most recent batch of hope and change. Other than for venting purposes, arguing politics these days is pointless.... the damage is done and much of it will be difficult to undo in the future.

In my opinion, the PARF split was the single best thing to happen to this forum. I am a person that is extremely opinionated about politics, but I absolutely refuse to get into a political debate online at this point. It's just not my thing. If I'm gonna argue, I want to be able to sit down and talk to the person with whom I'm arguing.

Now, I don't have to deal with it as long as I stay in PPOT and away from PARF. I think it's great.

+1 to that.

OT is much more civil and polite now.

Still nuttier than squirrel turds, but in a good/funny/entertaining way.

I agree with that CJ.
I keep in touch with a few guys who've quit coming here. Check out that thread about spouses pics goes back a few years and you'll see tons of posts there from guys/gals with 1,000's of posts counts that are history!

I'm not gonna argue politics and religion with a bunch of keyboard warriors that have no accountability, that's for sure. Far too many personal attacks over there imo and what is it going to accomplish? Nudding, not a bloody thing, just ranting keyboard warriors and lots of trolls looking to get a reaction from others.

There's some great wisdom here in PPOT, but you have to know how to look for it, that's for sure! I earnestly love reading the posts of our friends that sincerely post replies in an effort to help people; that's what I try my best to emulate myself. Some great humor here too, often find myself LOLing at the screen.

Far less trolls since PARF was split out, thanks to the wisdom of PP-BBS for doing that! Hopefully our numbers will stay up because the 'accountability' factor is what makes this BBS better than most, once again imo.

BTW, CJFusco; I love reading your posts; YOU're a Winner in my books buddy! A real ladies man too! You still got that drop dead gorgeous GF?

Amen to that. I also tend to be passionate about politics and find it hard to turn down a good argument. But passion and annonymity don't go well together, and I typically just ended up frustrated. In-person discussions of politics rarely get nasty like they do online.

I just avoid PARF and PPOT is fun again.

I agree with this part of your statement 100%. But the damage was not done over the last 2 months. That's insane.

Still alive and kicking! Lots on the plate but lurk here once or twice a week.

Updates:

Still at the CE job I've had for 5 yrs but everyday is a crap shoot. We dropped from 25 employees to 5. Bleeding money like a hemophiliac.

Car dealership is going extremely well. Sold 25 cars in the last 5 months. I dropped my partner with little effort and it was civil. I have a few investors who want to join up and open a strict sport/luxury dealership in Naples.

Divorce is almost final. I have the temp dissolution of marriage papers and just waiting for the judge to sign the final. Should be less than 30 days.

Went crazy with the women for the last 8 months now settled down with a cool chick to recover. She is 22

Decided to go back to school to get a masters in Business Management. I have to take some undergraduate courses to meet the requirements. Taking 2 now, have about 5 more to go. Should be ready by the end of the summer.

In the process of short selling the house at the instruction of my lawyer. I'm basically going to get out scott free w/o a credit hit if everything goes right.

And the most important...I picked up and 05' Mini Cooper 'S' and love it! By far one of the most fun cars I have ever driven:

Whewwwwwww.....

Hope everyone is doing well. I'll be watching.
