They actually look much better in real life than they do in the photo.

Of course IMO the best color combination for these cars is viper green with black trim.

For me, Ferraris really only come in 2 colors: red and yellow.

My Dino was brown as in the pic below—and I think it suited the car perfectly. Whenever I went to a Ferrari event all the guys in the red and yellow cars came over to admire the colour of my little Dino.

Hey Garrett,
At one time all my toys and cars were black, that was so cool. But now my boats yellow, car red, etc. I must admit I have seen the yellow spider and it is sooooo SWEET! However, my peeps and I agree that we should keep it a bit of a sleeper, fwiw I'm an old man and too flashy doesn't go over too well

The grey is super cool though fwiw.

We'll see?

This is a good point that I almost added to my original post. Certain models and certain F-cars I can certainly appreciate in other colors, but if it came down for me to buy one I would really want it to be red or yellow.

I really want to get an F-car, Porsche, or BMW with red exterior and tan interior.

I was talking to my dad about cars last week and I told him he needed to have a 355 or 360 spyder within 10 years. He liked my plan, now I am hoping he can make it happen.

We've got the red 924s, yellow Xterra, and yellow boat. He went a little lower key with the black M3. His philosophy for the toys is that if he is going to do it, he might as well go all out. When we get a new boat in a few years it will be some flashy color (yellow, red, green, maybe all black if I get my way).

That auction is in USD. Car will probably sell for around $90k ~ $100k USD (if it ever sells...been on E-Bay for almost a year).

The cost I'm worried about is import taxes, federalization/emissions, etc.

Gentry Lane has been around forever & I believe their rep is good. I can check with some Fchat buddies if anybody wants to know more. The local Toronto guys usually know the full history on any car for sale in the area.

If I found myself unusually flush, this is the Ferrari I would own. Black/black and stock is fine. A guy I know just bought this car new in the last year, bastard:

And you are right. I know federalization is always a problem coming our way from the US for late model Fcars. Bumpers in particular.

Only one Ferrari that I lust for:

The 512 Boxer.

Those just shot up in price farily recently. Used to be had all day long in the $60's, now they are in the $110k ~ $150k range. I would have one in a second for $60k.

Well yes, along with everything else, but I don't think they'll ever be as low as $60k again.

I've been anxiously tracking F40 prices. Remember when they were in the $900's. There are two that are perpetually on E-Bay with opening bids in the $500's. E-Bay is not the place to sell 'em and the sellers want about $650k. If I could get one in the $300k range, I'd do it.

They seemed to hover around $80K 3 - 4 years ago. A near-Toronto Fchatter has one that I have seen & heard close-up. He did admit it wasn't the best car to drive . . . but the sound!

I also lust for a 512BB. I have driven one and it was a beast. But man, what a sound.

In my book, only car to beat this is a Miura SV. 934 comes right after.

F40s are $350-400K today (although a 'perfect' F40 recently sold for $500K)

I think some might be $300K soon. Especially a 'driver', not concours.

Ian, not to nit-pick, but the picture you posted is of a 365 not a 512, but they're both 'Boxers'
