Smith has made a lot of different law enforcement commeratives. Usually they have value that is location specific.

Yeah, someone in the Mpls. PD (or retired) would pay up for this gun but I'd never sell it. There are certain things that are just not for sale, even if I'm starving. I'll go to the supermarket and eat the samples of Jimmy Dean sausage or something.

Cool pistols! I know you'll treasure them, and the $ value doesn't matter when something is passed down from your grandfather and has those memories and the "connection" associated with them imo.

Golly tabs I thought the red-ramp on the Smith would have screamed late '70's at you.
But I appreciate your knowledge on the older DA Colts. I don't see many come through but I agree the haven't set the collector world on fire. I don't own any. The SAA's & .45 auto's however........
