As Mark said, all in good fun. Besides, the Pens let you have the 65 YO Mark Recchi
I don't think the flyers have much left after the injuries. Like I said, the power they have over the devils might be all they got.

Mr. Recchi is 18 months old than Brett Favre. Seriously.

Wow. The Habs are doing a re-enactment of the book "The Little Engine That Could". Someone forgot to tell them that they can't beat the President's Trophy Winner Caps and then come from behind to beat the Pens.
p.s. Has anyone else noticed that in the second round of playoffs we have East: 4, 6,7,8 seed West: 1,2,3, 5 seed Exact opposites!

Their coach preaches five men low and rely on the goalie to block any shots that get through. Out-man the opposition and you should win most battles for rebounds. If the goalie can stand on his head they can win. It ain't rocket science, but it takes a certain dedication to block shots like that night after night.

Despite the fact he plays for Boston, you have to appreciate the guy Recchi has had a fantastic career, he a leader on and off the ice and he'll do anything it takes to win. If Jamie Moyer can be an ugly yet effective pitcher at 64 years old (nice series over the mets) then I would not sell Rec short.
We need to win tonight. I thought the Flyers were flat in the first period sat probably because of the long layoff.

I think that the Flyers - Boston series is FAR from decided. The Flyers with their injuries and the fact that they were soooo flat from a 9 day layoff still forced the game to OT.
After tonight's game more will be able to be garnered. |

Let's hope that poor calls with regards to goalie interference and all sorts of other bizarro type calls don't continue to make the games one sided.....

![]() A little sour grapes there? There has certainly been some goalie crashing by different teams. How about the dive by a goalie yesterday? Got away with that one.

all other considerations aside I would love to see Savard and Clark meet on the ice. It was a nice hockey moment to see Savard get that game winner.

No sour grapes Joe, I just don't like to see the pace of the game dictated by poor calls. While there were some doozy's last night, it seemed that SJ was on the side that benefited the most.
Hopefully the game tonight is as good as the one Saturday. That was a good time. Bill |

Well, talk about bad calls! Savard gets punched a couple times and then he gets thrown into the sin bin. and Carcillo goes scott free. Another good game. Each team showed strengths. Even better for the Bruins. On to the city of brotherly love!

I admit that there seem to be more inconsistent calls in the playoffs this year. It used to be that the refs had a "let them play" attitude because they didn't want a series to be determined by a call.
On another note, looks like the Wings are going to go down in flames this year. Botched a 3-1 lead in the 3rd. Pens/Habs may go 7.
